whatmeworry?

My row gauge is off, but whatever. Will keep knitting.

Wonder if the silk will grow in length when blocked? What do you think? Should I even bother to steam block it? Or just leave well enough alone? Silk seems slightly unpredictable to me.

I'll take beads with that.

I'm knitting the simple knitted bodice by Stefanie Japel in the recommended yarn. Geez, even the same color. (Just for the record, I have no problem with that.) I've never knitted anything with silk singles, it being a mite fancy. And I hate to put so much energy into something I couldn't opt to wear everyday if I so desired. Not that I would but it's nice to have that option. At any rate, I've since let that requirement go and embraced knitting with fancy, impractical yarn and impractical beaded yarn at that. And you know what? It's not that bad. In fact, I think I am getting a little spoiled. Perhaps deep down I eschew the fancy for the very reason that I don't have a fancy lot of money laying (lying) about to spend on fancy yarns. But that's another story and where were we? Oh yes. Beads. I am a little curious about how it will feel to wear this sweater. All the skeins of yarn together weigh a ton and I hope I don't feel like I am walking around in chain mail. Not that I care cause it will have beads. (Beads!)

Beads. (wait for it....) I'm all about it.

This must be how Becky felt when she saw that Hello Kitty glitter nailpolish at Target yesterday.
