How sweet they both look! Great job, Leigh and Rose. Yaaaaaaaay! They're finished!
Posted by Kerstin at January 29, 2004 01:13 PMWhat adorable little girls in their adorable wrappy dresses!!! I spy a Tupperware cup on the table by Miss Becky. Those are my girls' favorite cups!
Posted by Susan at January 29, 2004 01:21 PMthose are great wrappy dresses.
I get knitwear rejection all the time. Especially when I just want Erika to model. Yikes.... so independent already. :-))
Posted by Uli at January 29, 2004 01:35 PMSuch a cute dress, both models look lovely. I can't believe how big Becky's eyes look - she's going to be a model I think. Make big bucks for mum and dad if you're lucky!
Posted by kerrie at January 29, 2004 02:04 PMThe dresses look great. Great job on the finishing.
Posted by Melissa at January 29, 2004 04:40 PMLook at those perfect little stitches! Amazing. Well, at least you are kind of a space cadet and have to mark everything down like I do (sometimes I stick the pen in the hole in the clipboard clasp thing, and it stays there until I get to the next row).
Posted by Mariko at January 29, 2004 04:42 PMoh oh oh I gotta get that on the needles! Both versions look so adorable. I want my light blue with brown to make the gallery, but no one hold her breath, OK?
Posted by Maggi at January 29, 2004 05:22 PMThose dresses are so gorgeous. I'd love to have one myself (if I had a figure like Kate Moss, that is). Beautiful colours!
Posted by Erica at January 29, 2004 08:44 PMSnappy Wrappies! Your finishing is so neat and professional. Great job! Way to go Rose, too!
The impending knitwear rejection has me cracking up. With 3 boys I have *tons* of knitwear rejection. ;)
Posted by Kim at January 29, 2004 09:29 PMSuper dresses! And your finishing looks great. Hope mine looks as good -- only the edging/collar left to finish....
Alex will pick up an unused needle and pretend to knit me "a dress", so when told I was knitting a dress for _her_ she looked quite pleased. Hope it lasts!
Posted by Karen at January 29, 2004 11:26 PMWhat beautiful models! Rowan's going to be calling these two for their next kid's magazine! Beautiful dresses! I'm so glad the finishing of the trim worked out!
:)
Posted by Mary at January 30, 2004 08:43 AMThe wrappy dress is beautiful. Becky looks so pretty in it. You really did an amazing job! I'm glad that it came out so well after our early fears about the colors. Rose's is also lovely. Yay for wrappy dresses everywhere!
Posted by alison at January 30, 2004 09:04 AMI wish My 17yr old was little again...not! But that dress would be one I'd make! Lovely jobs!
Very pretty young ladies!
Very pretty little girls in charming wrappy dresses! The finishing touches you put on the dress are marvelous!
Posted by Amy at January 30, 2004 09:33 AMhey lady that dress came out PERFECT. wow. looks great even on the perhaps not totally willing model. :)
Posted by carolyn at January 30, 2004 01:39 PMGreat work Leigh!!! Becky is such a cutie! Bravo for getting her in her dress! Diva seems to not mind getting dressed and posing for the camera. Sorry about the photo being too grainy... Gotta get that digital! (Nope, didn't get one for Xmas... Long story. But got a LYS gift certificate for the equivalent of a hign end Canon Powershot! CASHMERE!)
Your finishing looks great! I did the same thing with the end... Used the tail of the side bands to sew.
Posted by Rose at January 30, 2004 01:58 PMYeah for Wrappy Dress! And an extra Yeah for Mary for helping solve the finishing riddle.
Posted by claudia at January 30, 2004 03:51 PMAuuwww, what a sweet lil' girl in her dress. :-)
Love it!
