Comments: Maryland Sheep and Wool

WooHoo! Though the weather we had today looks much better than the festival weather. :) I would love to meet up in MA, NH or VT. Did you hear that the Old Man in the Mountain (Franconia Notch, NH) FELL?!? Unbelievable. We loved that old man. BooHoo. Beautiful color yarn and I love those llamas. Thanks for the pics! Virtual vicariousness. Can't beat it.

oh no! I liked that old man ever since I got a postcard of that mountain from my friend who went to NH for the summer...so sad :-(

The weather got a lot nicer as the day wore on in MD. Got the freckles to prove it!

Definitely, would love to meet up at some festival. Maybe we can have a big blog meetup.

Well, you've got me dreaming of a wool festival! sounds like a blast! And what great things you bought! (especially the llamas!!! babies for Mamie!)
I think you would have spent less money without Carolyn ! ha ha! BUT! YOu wouldn't have as much good stuff today!
Enjoy!

Leigh - you will have so much fun knitting those mittens. I did them a couple of years ago for a friend and I keep reminding myself that I want to knit another pair.

Also, that ultra cool Pine Trees vest by the same company.

Sounds like you did great! I have heard stories from others about how quickly some things sell out. Enjoy your goodies.

Good festival, wasn't it! If you want another festival fix soon, try Cummington, MA over Memorial Day weekend. Compared to MD, it is a *little* sheep and wool. But it is fun, and I always enjoy going.

Sounds like the festival was great--I love the pictures. Those finger puppets (and your son!) are adorable!

Ahhhh, to live in the East.....you lucky gal you.

A Big Blog Meet-up sounds like a very cool idea! Especially if it's at another of the many many Fiber Festivals....like Rhinebeck in New York?

Sorry I missed you at the Fest, I was rather way distracted by all the Fiber. You'd think after a few years I'd be used to it? HA!

Hmmm,
I was at MS&W on Sunday.
I live 2hrs and 5 minutes away.
I listen to Smiths and XTC,etc.

Are you my doppelganger?

I bought 2 Shetland Fairisle pattern books from Yarns International (swoon) and 600 yds of handspun.
