Me! Me! I love Shaun of the Dead!

I also love Rowan Felted Tweed, though I haven't yet knit anything out of it . . . you may have inspired me, though!

I loved Shaun of the Dead. Every little crazy detail. How about the scene where the two groups of "survivors" pass each other and each has it's own version of a certain team member. Too funny. And the last scene - with the music. I laughed all the way out to my car!

We seem to have similar revelations. I had mine with the Jamieson's Shetland DK that I used for the River Grass Gansey. The fabric seemed a bit too light and flimsy to me as I was knitting, but as it turned out it was just perfect. Light, warm, pretty, detailed - but, fortunately, definitely not bulky. I could knit with just that yarn forever. The Tuna that I just used for the Maimu mitten is very similar to the Jamieson's DK - nice sticky yarn! (can you tell that I like it?)

I loved Felted Tweed too because of its nubbiness and lightness. Generally I stick to yarns that are DK or lighter. I'll use bulky yarns in a scarf but not on my body--have enough padding of my own! :)

I've never seen Shaun of the Dead. My daughter says it gave her nightmares. I just asked her through an IM when I read your post, and she says, "You'll like it because it's British. I say see it, but during the day, and don't let Dad see it -- it'll give him nightmares." She's a stitch, is she not?! Guess everybody knows who wears the pants in this family! Bummer about your camera.

Rogue is fine at 4.5 -- for a cardigan. I wear it as a jacket until it absolutely gets too cold and I MUST put on a coat.

Oh, me too! My most-often-worn sweater is a Bohus Yoke sweater knit out of Shetland jumperweight yarn. Those lighter-weight garments are so versatile!

Ha--your post made me laugh. Didn't you knit Banff? Wasn't yours the really pretty one knit of Rowanspun chunky tweed? I could be wrong. I don't see it in the gallery. I could have sworn that was yours. SO pretty. I guess you don't wear it then? Too bad.....of course if it needed a home, I could adopt it.....ha ha ha But maybe it wasn't even you.

I get lured by a quick knit, but the ones I wear over and over are lighter.

Funny what yarn Mary talks about after our purchases yesterday.
Just seeing and feeling your felted tweed made me want to knit with it, lovely yarn it is.

Ha! I loved Shaun of the Dead. When he got up ever morning and abled down the hall like a zombie, or walked to work and didn't even notice that the people he passed every am WERE zombies! Quite a statement on life. And everyone practising their zombie noises!! The final scene was good, with his buddy in the tool shed all zombified playing video games.
