heh-heh, you're so right on: We won't write the instructions, because we really don't know how to work this thing; we just made it, that's all! Have fun getting to know how to run that thing. You can use it for tubular cast-on? That right there would be worth it to me!

I reluctantly went over to the dark side a few years ago after 5 years of resistance. But the Swiss workmanship! Passap is great for all those gorgeous, fitted Rowan patterns that are mostly st st on 2-3mm beedles. Read:boring for handknitters such as me that don't complete a hand knit sweater every month! I save the really yummy yarns and the patternwork for my hands.

Check out the PASSAPKnits yahoo group. Fantastic bunch of folks that never tire of answering questions on anything Passap.

Best of luck!

I'm as green as that carriage with envy. Man, can I just touch it? a free knitting machine is a good thing.

I'm so not technically inclined but I know you'll figure it out! Can you do intarsia on it? Now THAT would be worth it! Thanks for the blocking advice. You give me hope ... to carry on. :)

Oops, I meant "mechanically inclined." Technically speaking, of course. ;)

It may be the dark side, but like crochet I'd really like to try one. Nothing like vague instructions...

Ooo, lucky you! I've wanted to try one of those for some Harry Potter sweaters.
