perfectly logical, indeed. However, it is a very nice red sock and would look smashing with a match. :)
Posted by Liz at August 22, 2005 05:44 PMI love illogical logic! Hope you had a good weekend...
Posted by kerrie at August 22, 2005 05:57 PMOoooo, so THAT is why I like you so much? Birds of a feather! I like non matched socks.
:)
Well. I guess I won't send my daughter to this site to learn logic for her upcoming LSATs....or maybe I should, actually. Does sound a bit like lawyer-logic. ;-D
Posted by Norma at August 22, 2005 06:06 PMYou are a silly sock knitter, aren't you? At least, my dear, you are capable of producing a FO... I can't seem to wrap my needles around anything these days.
Posted by Tiffany at August 22, 2005 06:24 PMYeh! Well at least you finished the sock.....I don't ever seem to get that far. I love the logic - why not start on another completely unrelated project? Thats what I do.
Posted by Donyale at August 22, 2005 06:47 PMPretty! Hope your flying was a breeze and you had a great time.
Posted by Cindy at August 22, 2005 06:55 PMIt is a very beautiful sock. It reminds me of my daughter... who hasn't yet found a matching mate. I would knit two of these socks if I knew where the pattern was. (hint hint)
Posted by Painterwoman at August 22, 2005 07:31 PMOh, pretty pretty sock. What yarn please? And what pattern please? Even with an oversized mate of a different color, I like it. :)
Posted by Laura at August 22, 2005 09:06 PMyou weren't working on that at my house, when the hell did this finishing occur? :)
Posted by carolyn at August 22, 2005 09:48 PMNot a thing wrong with different color socks in my book! I have a reflex against matching too much - when I pick out a hairband in the morning, if the first one I pick up is the same color as my clothes, I put it down and grab something that doesn't "go".
Posted by Folkcat at August 22, 2005 10:21 PMThat's precisely the kind of logic I can relate to. Unfortunately.
Posted by Cassie at August 22, 2005 11:10 PMI love that pattern. Where is it from so I can make some ? I have been looking for a cable patterned sock but haven't seem to found the one I'm looking for.
Posted by Morgan at August 23, 2005 10:45 PMGood idea. Or, why not a mitten? Fingerless glove? I say go for the full mismatched effect!
Posted by elisabeth at August 24, 2005 11:15 AMGorgeous red sock and would easily go with any other sock you damn well wanted to wear with it. Really, nice work!
Posted by Julia at August 24, 2005 05:45 PMAre those Nancy Bush's Cable and Ribs from the last IK? Your color choice shows them off so much better than the dark stuff I chose when I started them a couple months back. Now where are they....
Posted by Mary Beth at August 25, 2005 12:33 PMthat's a great pattern! i love it.
Posted by lynette at August 25, 2005 02:05 PMWhat a pretty sock! I especially love the toe treatment.
Posted by katie at August 26, 2005 03:35 PMA gorgeous sock! You have used logic that Spock would be proud of. So knit lots and prosper. ;-)
Posted by Bonnie at August 28, 2005 05:42 PMperfectly logical! That is a great looking sock!! Why knit the mate, when it is so much more fun to start another.....hehe.
