I *knew* that if I put you in my new bookmark/RSS system, you'd post!
The cowl is gorgeous on you, chickie. And I am so digging the long hair. Miss you!
Posted by Kerstin at October 31, 2006 10:12 AMfinally a new blog entry.
THe layered look is in! and you look good in it.
Hey, welcome back! The cowl looks great!
Posted by Elinor at October 31, 2006 11:42 AMDude, I'm all about it = the alpaca and layering short sleeves over long. Well, actually I'm not because I don't have any short sleeved sweaters. But my 16-year old daughter dresses exactly like that. Skirts too. Over leggings. With leg warmers.
I had a great time at Rhinebeck. Hope you didn't feel like I was stalking you. But you know, *some* people just keep stopping to talk all the time and I was a newbie and had to keep looking.
Posted by Paula at October 31, 2006 11:52 AMleeeeeeeeeeigh!
you look perfect in that. don't second guess yourself.
it was so GOOD to see you!

i think it looks great that way. hey, was it just me, or did the Robin wheels he was selling at the festival all look smaller than yours or the one Kerstin bought that one year? like shorter/squatter? almost like mini Robins compared to yours? no? yes?
Posted by carolyn at October 31, 2006 12:00 PMIt looks beautiful that way. And for finishing something AND posting, I think you should get TWO cookies. Big ones.
Posted by Michelle at October 31, 2006 12:09 PMI think it looks great that way!
Posted by Ruth at October 31, 2006 12:41 PMSo great to meet you last weekend. I think that the cowl looks great layered.

Posted by alice at October 31, 2006 04:30 PMIt most definitely works and seems like a perfect fall winter pairing. You look most excellent. I'm sure that more than one cookie is warranted!
Posted by Theresa at October 31, 2006 04:38 PMNo, don't second guess yourself, it looks very cool. It'd also be nice with a 3/4 sleeved button-down shirt, another layered look but not too warm for indoor wear...
Posted by loribird at October 31, 2006 05:27 PMLove your hair--looks great! And the sweater is terrific, too. That Kim Hargreaves sweater will look fabulous on you.
Posted by Kim at October 31, 2006 07:51 PMIt looks so great....as do you! Glad to read a post from you. :)
Posted by Annie at October 31, 2006 07:54 PMMADE ME LAUGH with the "I'm all about it!" :) Love you. Love your sweater. I'm all about the Leighlee!
It was so my pleasure to spend time with you at Rhinebeck! Thanks for coming! Shall we do it again next year??

Posted by Norma at October 31, 2006 09:04 PMGreat to see you back in blogland.
Have to say that I think the way you are wearing the somewhat cowl looks wonderful - great solution to the short-sleeve alpaca conundrum.

Posted by Mary at November 1, 2006 12:51 AMOh, yes, this is a very cute look for you! I, too, wondered what people would do with a short sleeved warm wooly sweater, but I think you've got just the right solution. Enjoy it!

Posted by kate at November 1, 2006 09:32 PMHooray! A Woolflowers post! Makes my day.
The way you wear you sweater.....
The way you spin your fleece......
Leigh, you look adorable in anything you wear, and that sweater is perfect on you just the way it is.
Great to see you in Rhinebeck, hope to see you again soon, and hope all is well with all of you.
Posted by Teresa C at November 2, 2006 09:44 PMwell i think you're stylin' with the shirt under the new alpaca. perfect solution!
Posted by janet d at November 3, 2006 12:47 PMMe thinks that that sweater looks good the way you're wearing it.
Posted by nik at November 3, 2006 03:53 PMLove it! Two questions: what pattern did you use for the sweater? And where do you find hoodies that are made of such a nice, thin knit?
(Love your skirt, too.)
Posted by Ali at November 3, 2006 07:51 PMHi Ali,
The Somewhat Cowl pattern is by Wendy Bernard of Knit and Tonic (she's in my links ). The hoodie is from www.freepeople.com I think I am obsessed with hoodies. I'm all about it!
you totally pull this off. love the layering - very cool - and also love the greens.
if i were you i would have a hard time not wearing this outfit every single day.
